Gynuity in Venezuela
Gynuity collaborated with local colleagues on a study to document the introduction of misoprostol for treatment of incomplete abortion in a tertiary level hospital. The evidence-based regimen studied produced a similarly high rate of efficacy and satisfaction reported in other regions, and in comparison to standard surgical care offered in this context. This simple technology for a very common women’s health concern is especially useful in settings with a high demand for services. Results of this study are forthcoming.
