Gynuity’s work in Georgia focuses on expanding access to medical abortion for women through nine weeks gestation through introductory studies of evidence-based regimens, with plans for expansion outside the capital. We also work with local research institutions to study regimen innovations aimed at reducing doses of misoprostol and to generate data to encourage the government to improve access to misoprostol. Gynuity opened an office in 2006 in Tbilisi to support our work in the region.
