Medical abortion with mifepristone and misoprostol has been available in Kazakhstan since 2009 yet access to the procedure is limited. Gynuity’s work in Kazakhstan focuses on expanding access to medical abortion through an introductory study of simplified evidence-based regimen through the tenth week gestation. The study will take place in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, local NGO, and four clinics in Almaty and Astana.
