Gynuity Health Projects

Gynuity convened a dissemination meeting in Gyumri, Armenia, on the results of our study “Acceptability and feasibility of demedicalized medical abortion regimen in Armenia”. The study was conducted in two clinics in Gyumri and Vanadzor. Thirty participants attended the dissemination meeting including representatives from the Ministry of Health, local and international NGOs and medical providers. The head of the public health department welcomed all participants and highlighted the importance of expanding medical abortion services in the region. The dissemination meeting included a presentation on the current situation of elective termination of pregnancy in the Lori and Shirak provinces of Armenia, presentations on mifepristone-misoprostol medical abortion, as well as a Gynuity presentation on the results of the study.
