This editorial explores provision of emergency contraceptive pills (ECPs) by international social marketing organizations. The authors conducted a survey of 4 large social marketing organizations and found that only one third of their family planning programs include provision of ECPs. The authors identify several key barriers to increased EC provision and discuss possible strategies to address them. Contraception 2013;87(6):703-705.
