Simplifying first trimester medical abortion follow-up training in Central Asia and Caucasus

Gynuity held trainings for the clinical study, “Simplifying first trimester medical abortion follow-up,” on January 16, 2017 in Almaty, Kazakhstan and on January 19, 2017 in Tbilisi, Georgia. We trained obstetrician/gynecologists from three countries: Kazakhstan, Armenia and Georgia, and will be enrolling at two clinical sites in each country, one in the capital city and another in a more rural area. The clinical sites include: City Polyclinic #17, Almaty and Shymkent Central Policlinic, Shymkent, Kazakhstan; David Gagua Clinic, Tbilisi and Batumi International Hospital, Batumi, Georgia; and Republican Institute of Reproductive Health, Perinatology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Yerevan, and Gyumri Maternity Hospital, Gyumri, Armenia. Kazakhstan Association on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Women’s Rights Center, Armenia are coordinating partners for this study.
