Barbara Crane Joins Gynuity Health Projects' Board of Directors
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Barbara B. Crane, MA, PhD, as a new member of Gynuity Health Projects’ governing board of directors. Barbara is a political scientist and consultant specializing in reproductive health and rights whose distinguished career spans decades.
Barbara served as Executive Vice President for Technical Leadership and Advocacy at Ipas from 2000 to 2016, leading global research and abortion policy reform efforts and strengthening global partnerships. From 1992 to 2000, she served as a senior policy adviser in the Office of Population of the United States Agency for International Development. From 1971 to 1992, she held research and teaching positions at the University of Michigan and Harvard University. Her research on the politics of population and reproductive health has appeared widely in peer-reviewed publications. She holds a BA from Wellesley College, an MA from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, and a PhD in Political Science from the University of Michigan.
