Keeping Our Promises: Addressing Unsafe Abortion in Africa

This international conference, held in Accra, Ghana was organized by Ipas and supported by the International Planned Parenthood Federation Africa Region and Marie Stopes International. The event brought together participants from governments, national and international NGOs, civil society, faith-based organizations, and multi-lateral organizations to share and learn about effective mechanisms employed to address the magnitude of unsafe abortion in Africa. Gynuity presented on a panel entitled “Advancing misoprostol use for PAC in countries with restrictive abortion policies”; the presentation was entitled “From research to action: Using research for policy change and mobilization in restrictive settings.”
