
41st Myanmar Health Research Congress

Gynuity staff members participated in the 41st Myanmar Health Research Congress, in Yangon, Myanmar from January 7-11 and made two presentations during the half-day Symposium “Achieving the MDGs: Role of Research on Reproductive Health”. The symposium sought to 1) highlight the recent situations on achieving MDFs in Myanmar 2) focus interest and efforts on improving reproductive, maternal, and child health 3) encourage research of PPH and abortion in the context of knowledge translation principals. Gynuity contributed a presentation entitled “Conducting Research on Postpartum Hemorrhage: Measurement Issues, Methodology, and Outstanding Questions” which reviewed the literature and provided examples of experiences related to PPH research. The second Gynuity presentation was entitled “The Role of Clinical Research to Improve Medical Abortion and Expand its Use” and explored the evolution of medical abortion regimens and service delivery protocols.
