
Advocacy Meeting on Misoprostol for Postpartum Hemorrhage in Myanmar

Gynuity Health Projects, in collaboration with the Department of Health and the Department of Medical Research (Lower Myanmar) convened a meeting entitled “Advocacy Meeting on the Use of Misoprostol for Prevention and Management of Postpartum Hemorrhage in Myanmar” in the capital city of Nay Pyi Taw on the 24th of September. The goal of this meeting was to bring together key stakeholders, including ministry officials, OB/GYNs, and researchers, to discuss national policy around PPH. Following a series of contextual and technical presentations a set of recommendations was developed for how to move forward. Next, Gynuity will organize panels for the upcoming Health Research Conference in January 2013 and the 10th Myanmar Obstetrical and Gynaecological Congress in February 2013.
