Alianza Research Meeting on Abortion in Mexico City

Gynuity presented preliminary results of the first study conducted in Mexico evaluating mifepristone medical abortion at a meeting organized by the National Alliance for the Right to Decide in Mexico (Alianza Nacional por el Derecho a Decidir en México). The objective of the meeting was to gather researchers, health care providers and Ministry of Health officials to share results of various research initiatives on different aspects of legal abortion services since the liberalization of the abortion law in Mexico City in 2007. The study presented by Gynuity is being conducted in three health MOH health centers in Mexico City. The preliminary results of the medical abortion regimen studied demonstrated a high level of efficacy and acceptability by women.
