Gynuity Health Projects participated in a panel on misoprostol for postpartum hemorrhage sponsored by FIGO at the All India Congress of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (AICOG) held in Hyderabad. The 90-minute session consisted of three presentations followed by a discussion. The first speaker, Dr. M.B. Bellad from the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College in Belgaum, spoke on misoprostol for prevention of PPH. Ms. Sheila Raghavan, from Gynuity Health Projects, presented recent research results on misoprostol for PPH treatment. Dr. Shuchita Mundle, from the Government Medical College in Nagpur, addressed the program and policy aspects of misoprostol for PPH care in India. The panel was moderated by Professor Hamid Rushwan, FIGO Chief Executive.
