Ampliando opciones en las estrategias para la reducción de la Mortalidad Materna

We conducted a one-day medical abortion training in collaboration with the National level Ministry of Health to approximately 30 general practitioners and obstetrician gynecologists who form a training team in sexual and reproductive health. Some of the participants already had some experience with medical abortion and others were only familiar with counseling on the use of medications as part of a harm/risk reduction strategy. The workshop was highly technical and incorporated orientation in the clinical aspects of medical abortion services, as well as counseling, grounded in the most recent scientific evidence.
