Clacai Sub-regional Conferences on Unsafe Abortion

Gynuity staff and colleagues participated in two sub-regional meetings in Ecuador and Guatemala. In Ecuador, the conference was attended by over 100 participants from South America; Gynuity’s local colleagues presented on their experience using misoprostol for treatment of incomplete abortion in Ecuador. In Guatemala, over 75 people attended from 6 Central American countries, Mexico and the Caribbean; there Gynuity staff member presented on how to apply lessons learned from existing research and evidence on the use of medications for abortion and postabortion care to clinical practice.
