Evaluation of the PPH Prevention Program in Nepal—National Dissemination Meeting

Following the completion of a large-scale evaluation of the PPH prevention program in Nepal, a national dissemination meeting was held in Kathmandu on 20 January 2014. A total of 60 people participated, including the Director General of the Department of Health Services and leaders from the Nepal Family Health Division, Logistics Management Division, National Health Education Information and Communication Center, National Health Training Center, and representatives from the Ministry of Health and Population. Also in attendance were key representatives from national and international NGOs, researchers, clinicians and health officials from each of the nine study districts. Evaluation methods and findings were presented, followed by group discussion about implications and next steps. A final presentation and discussion about ways that technology could be used to address some of the needs identified in the evaluation occurred.
