FIGO Safe Abortion Meeting, Skopje, Macedonia

Gynuity staff attended the Seventh Regional Workshop of the FIGO Initiative on Unsafe Abortion May 14-15 in Skopje, Macedonia. The workshop aimed to present progress, challenges and barriers in the implementation of national action plans to reduce the consequences of unsafe abortions in the Central/ Eastern Europe and Central Asia region, and to plan future activities in this field. Gynuity staff gave a presentation on “Increasing access to medical abortion in Eastern Europe and Central Asian countries.” The topic included the availability and access to medical abortion services in the region, and described Gynuity Health Projects’ collaborative activities in EE/CA countries and how they have contributed to the expansion of use of medical abortion regionally.
