Clinical Training for Ecuadorian Provider Network

CEMOPLAF, a pioneering network of 30 private primary- and secondary-level clinics throughout Ecuador, has included misoprostol as a treatment option for incomplete abortion in their institutional norms. In partnership with CEMOPLAF, Gynuity is now working to train multi-disciplinary teams from each CEMOPLAF clinic throughout the country to use misoprostol for this indication. The first training was held in Quito in April 2009 and was attended by obstetricians/gynecologists, nurses, counselors and hospital administrators from 10 private clinics outside of Quito.
