Misoprostol for PAC Project Dissemination Guatemala City

Gynuity, Planned Parenthood Global and local colleagues presented the results of a project to introduce misoprostol as an ambulatory treatment for incomplete abortion in Amatitlán, Guatemala in a series of forums in November and December, 2011 in Guatemala City. These include the National Medical Congress on November 30th, attended by over 100 professionals. Subsequently a lunch session was organized to share results with members of the Guatemalan ob/gyn society (AGOG) and the Society of Profession Women Doctors. On December 1st a meeting was organized with Ministry of Health officials to share the results of the project and to discuss strategies for continuity with the incoming administration and expansion to other health centers in Guatemala. On December 14th parallel meetings were held in Guatemala City and Quetzaltenango organized by PASMO and attended by ob/gyn professionals.
