National Abortion Federation 2010 Meeting

During NAF’s 34th annual meeting, Drs. Beverly Winikoff and Yael Swica presented on a panel entitled, “De-medicalization of Medical Abortion,” along with Dr. Dan Grossman of Ibis Reproductive Health and Susan Yanow, a consultant for Women on the Web. The panelists discussed current research in the U.S. and abroad that documents the safety and efficacy of de-medicalizing medical abortion to make it more accessible.

Gynuity colleagues also presented interim results of a clinical research trial evaluating a semi-quantitative pregnancy test for medical abortion. This paper shared NAF’s annual award for best clinical paper presented during the conference.
