Training and Strategy Meeting on Misoprostol for PAC with Mexico City Hospitals

Gynuity has been working with the MOH of Mexico City since 2009 to support the introduction of a protocol using misoprostol for incomplete abortion as a first-line treatment. Initially 14 maternity hospitals were trained and technical assistance has been provided to document efforts. In June, 2012, representatives from the 14 hospitals were convened to discuss successes and challenges and 9 additional general hospitals were also present to learn about the protocol with the intention of integrating it into their practice in the year ahead.
