11th Annual Mifepristone Medical Abortion Meeting

New Politics, New Products, New Partners: A New Era for Medical Abortion?

Gynuity hosted the 11th annual meeting on mifepristone attended by over 100 participants working in the fields of reproductive health and abortion research, clinical services provision, education, policy and advocacy. The first day of the meeting focused on new science and practice in the domestic and international settings, as well as political, legal and regulatory issues related to medical abortion. Day two of the meeting focused on medical abortion in second trimester pregnancies and involved a series of guest speakers that offered information and perspective about effective regimens using mifepristone, the European experience, political, regulatory and commercial issues, cost-benefit issues, ethics and access.
