I Conferencia Latinoamericana: Prevención y Atención del Aborto Inseguro

As a steering committee member of the Latin American Consortium against Unsafe Abortion (CLACAI), Gynuity co-sponsored CLACAI’s first regional conference on improving women’s access to safe abortion held in Lima, Peru. The meeting was attended by clinicians, activists, researchers, policymakers and academics from Latin America and was meant to create a space for the exchange of experiences and to strengthen a growing regional network of actors committed to ensuring safe abortion. The objectives of the meeting were to evaluate the impact of misoprostol on maternal morbidity and mortality and to analyze the processes and results of diverse strategies to guarantee access to legal abortion services.
